General Notes:
Baptism of Ludovicus (Lewis) son of William Lloyd and Catherine 1722 (Bishop's transcripts)
Appendices (Cofiant John Jones') note A: referring to page 18 Lewis William Lloyd, second son of William Lloyd of Gorddinen, and uncle of the brother of his father of the father of (ewythr o frawd ei dad i dad Mr John Jones) Mr John Jones (Talsarn) (ie uncle of the brother of the father of John Jones Tan y Castell), was one of the early preachers amongst the Methodists in North Wales. He was born in 1705, at Gorddinen, in Dolyddelen. He moved to live at a place called Penbrynbrwynog, above Trefriw.
(the above seems to imply that John William Lloyd was half brother to Lewis's nephew? I have probably misunderstood this, perhaps 'Ewythr o frawd ei dad i dad Mr John Jones' is intended to mean: 'uncle, from being the brother of the father, of the father of Mr John Jones', i.e. uncle of John Jones Tan y Castell; that would be right. )
