Lewis married Mary Tyson, daughter of John Tyson and Elizabeth Williams, on 17 May 1823 in Llan Ffestiniog. (Mary Tyson was born in 1796-1797 in Ireland, died on 9 Sep 1889 in Bl Ffestiniog and was buried on 13 Sep 1889 in St Mihangel, Plot 1280.)
